SOMETIMES LOVE IS NOT ALL THAT MATTERS

We all have those moments when we really annoy our parents and almost make them lose faith in us. Sometimes we may not do it intentionally, unaware of the consequences that will befall our actions. In one way or another, God made us have that special connection with our parents. We may be connected by blood but the events we go through in life with our parents strengthens the bond. However much a relationship with a parent may not be that good, the love still exists.

There are children that have been abandoned by their biological parents but when they grow up and eventually meet their parents, they still have that love. Obviously at first sight you will feel a lot of hatred and range for that parent who abandoned you. As children we drive our parents crazy with all the outrageous things we do. But it is simple, we are all from different generations and each generation has its norms. Most times our parents fail to understand why we do some things and most times the answer is simple “peer pressure”.

Most people succumb to the pressure from peers and easily indulge in whatever activity they are being introduced to. Most of us want to be considered as cool and updated so we easily succumb to pressure from peers. That is the main reason why when our parents criticize us for what we do, we call them “outdated”. But in actual sense they are not “outdated”, they are older than us and have further experience. They see further than we do and fear for the consequences to befall us “their beloved children”.

There comes a moment in life when you have wronged your parents so much that they have completely given up on you. But it is still their obligation to take care of you, sometimes the love may disappear but they have that God given obligation to look after their children. We can not blame our parents for behaving the way they do, sometimes they really do not know what to do with us. They are human beings like us and have feelings. Every parent’s constant worry is the welfare of their children however old you may be. So please do not take your parents love for you for granted because in the end they are all you really have.

SAD THINGS ARE A GREAT MOTIVATION

Everybody has something that motivates them, music, art, anger, people they love, people they hate, people that hate them, sad moments, happy moments and many other things. There are a lot of things that happen in our lives and the best motivation comes from the bad experiences. Losing a loved one, being brought up by a single parent, being abandoned, being discriminated, being brought up in an environment where there is no love, just to mention a few.

Most of the people that have been brought up in a harsh environment are successful people. I know a lot of children that are orphans and because of this they work extremely hard in school especially if they know that they cannot rely on their guardians and relatives. When you lack a lot of things while you are growing up, it acts as a motivation to make you work hard, to get everything you desire. Especially kids that grow up in boarding school and are exposed to the company of rich kids that have everything they need.

We all have those moments when we feel sad and alone due to circumstances. These days friends are not friends, people are not who they play out to be. When you think you have friends and need them, they turn away from you the moment you are in need. That is when you realize who your true friends are, the person you least expect, the person you took for granted will be the one to help you. I am not saying having friends is bad, having friends is good. They all play a great role in your life, some are a blessing and some are a lesson.

I personally love all the people that I used to call friends and are a lesson in my life. Those people play a great role in molding us into what we are. As we grow older we realize that life becomes harder because everyone has their issues and these issues make people become desperate. They become users, opportunists and hypocrites. And that is where all our sad moments come in because the people we thought love and care about us actually do not. I prefer to think of all sad things as a blessing because they are a motivation. Out of every bad thing comes a good thing.

LOYALTY

Remember that saying, about the world being round, it’s true and best practical example is the way how women are slowly taking over the world. Whether you see it or not, accept it or not, it is happening and it is slowly picking pace. Men have dominated the world for too long and subjected women to a lot of things. In the past, as a girl your parents made the decision of whom you should marry and bear children with. All this was done for the parents benefit, bride price was given to them and the girl child would not even get a portion of that bride price. That was how bad it was but with time this practice has phased out.

They say money is not everything but in the world we live in today, money is everything. It is funny how a man can promise a girl heaven on earth even when he has nothing. When reality hits and they are married with no money, frustration and anger kicks in and life becomes unbearable. Yes, there will be some happy times but the bad times will outweigh the good times and the picture would have been different if they had money. Sad fact is a woman will leave a poor man to be with a rich man whether she loves him or not. Simply because the society today is all about status and the poor life is too hard to live. Who does not love a simple life?

Men had their time to play with women’s hearts and break them and in all this time women were trying to be loyal. Now the tables have turned, women are playing with men’s hearts and breaking them without even a second thought. I actually do not blame them, I know it is bad. But truth is some women have been through a lot and taken a lot of crap in their lives, so before you call a woman “cold”, “heartless” or “a bitch”, you do not know half of what she has been through. I am not in support of the disloyalty but I think most men saw it coming. These days women have their ways of getting money whether good or bad means, it has given them power to have confidence and get what they desire.

I guess most of you have heard those stories of how a man will finance a girl’s studies simply because he loves her. And in the end when she has graduated from university and  acquired a good paying job, that’s it she forgets the man who has brought her that far and goes for the man she wants. True women are not loyal, they may promise and act like saints but they will not think twice about breaking a boys heart and moving on. No offense but men are like dogs, if you treat him right and love him the way he wants, he will be loyal so women should not blame their disloyalty on a man, they had a choice. Not all women are disloyal some are loyal but I guarantee you that they are few.

A FEW SECONDS

Life does not always go the way we want, we do not always get what we want. It is funny how a few seconds can change your entire life. A few seconds of you being involved in an accident can change your whole life. You might end up losing your leg, arm or any other part of your body, even worse some people get amnesia. A few seconds of you engaging in a conversation with your friends, spouse, mentor, or just a stranger can change your life. Whoever it might be, one of the people that you engage in a conversation with might say something that will give you the answers you have been looking for, that is when things start to make perfect sense to you. Even a few second s of you screwing around could change your life. You might end up getting pregnant, or contracting a deadly disease, or worse you might lose your life.

All these things create a difference in your life, it might be slight or big but in the end it all creates a difference. Some people end up becoming very bitter and withdrawn from the people that care and love them, this is common with people who are involved in accidents. They feel lost, confused, they lose the confidence they once had, life just becomes meaningless for them. Some become very aware of the people around them, they take caution of what they say and how they behave. It is hard for them to trust. Many of our friends pretend to care yet in actual sense they do not give a shit. They are our friends because we have something that they want and can be of a benefit to them. When you are a failure in life nobody wants to be associated with you, but when you are somebody even your worst enemy will pretend to know you.

A few seconds is all it takes for you to realize what is actually going on around you, it can either make you or break you. A person may say just a sentence that will make perfect sense to you, you will realize that the answers were right in front of you the whole time. Sometimes the people we love leave us without giving us a clear reason, it might be our patterns of behavior, the way we treat them, envy, or something we said some time back. It is easy to ask for forgiveness and be forgiven, but it is truly hard to forget. Sometimes we do not think about the consequences of our actions on others, most of us are selfish and only think of ourselves. The things we do affect the people that love and care about us.

Not everybody in our lives wish us the best, a good number of them wait to see our downfall. The world is filled with so much hate, envy and jealousy, that is why there is a lot of competition in everything. To survive in this world you have to be strong, confident, focused, a fighter and most of all have a positive mind and attitude towards every thing that comes your way. Because the truth is people are there to put you down, make fun of you, talk about you and do anything to see that you are not successful. It is up to you to be strong and fight to the end for what you want. We all create our own destiny. A few seconds in our lives is all it takes to change our destiny, anything can happen in a few seconds. Think before you act.

THIEVES

I love watching movies, a lot, especially the ones that make my heart race, anything from horrors, thrillers, action, investigative. I was watching this movie called “body of lies” and it begins with a scene of armed military men surrounding a building, getting ready to ambush their target. So these armed military men enter into a certain house and the inmates are so calm, there is a boy cooking while watching the television, another is on the table pretending to be fixing some electronic machine and others are just reading news papers and minding their own business. All of a sudden a bomb goes off unexpected and everybody in the building is no more.

What I can tell you is that the people in that room were prepared to die, it was a case of suicide bombing. But everybody else in that building did not expect to die. These movies make everything seem so easy, and this motivates the viewers to copy what they see in movies. By the time the script for a movie is written, it has been inspired by a true story, so everything we watch to some percentage is true. And this is where thieves borrow ideas on how to attack their prey.

Theft is also considered as a profession because people get paid even though it is not legally acknowledged by the state. Just as easy as it is seems in the movies to steal, these thieves in reality have an illusion that it is as easy as it seems. So amidst all the other motivations like hunger, anger, frustration, envy and suffering, movies are the biggest motivation for thieves. Some thieves take an extra mile in stealing especially if they are educated. They play with the psychology of their potential targets just to get exactly they want. As easy as that.

A thief may be good looking, elegant, well educated, from a well established family but no matter he or she looks like, he or she is still a thief. Some people are just habitual thieves so there is nothing much anyone can do about it. There was a very beautiful girl at school, so pretty but the worst thing is that she was a thief, I do not know if she still is and it just shocks me to think of her as a thief. I did not want to believe it until she stole from me, that is when it hit me, that is when I believed.

Everybody is a potential thief, the amazing thing is that the thieves in my school were these girls who used to claim that they were from well to do families. They used to try to paint this picture of a posh lifestyle yet in reality they had normal families. They used to spend money like there is no tomorrow and the next thing you know they are in that state that us Ugandans call “kawu” (broke).  So they start borrowing money and the next thing you know they have to steal just to pay back the money that they borrowed. It just does not make sense but the inspiration from movies makes sense.

Christmas is tomorrow and everyone wants to enjoy and take something home to their families, even the thieves. So as you shop, party and do whatever it is that you are going to do, ensure that you and your property are safe. The same way you bought everything that you have, someone out there is waiting to acquire whatever they can from you. Take care and Merry Christmas.

TWISTED HAPPENINGS

We are all humans, that is why we make mistakes, we are not meant to be perfect. Sometimes the mistakes are made unconsciously, we do not mean to make them. But in the end we end up making them anyway and we end up disappointing the people we love and care about. Everything happens for a reason, and I believe that every thing that happens, happens due to a series of events. We all have those moments when we breakdown, we all endure a lot but we reach a point where we just can not take it anymore.

I have a friend, she faced a lot of hardships this last term in school. She had just lost somebody she loved very much in her life and she had her final papers to sit for, everybody knew that she was a strong person with a strong personality. They did not expect her to be weak, but she has her weak points, everybody does. She was focused, so focused on dedicating the term to her books, and she did just that. She drowned herself in her books, so much that she did not know what was going on around her.

She had a boyfriend that she did not even love, they went for prom and everything was perfect. Until this other guy comes along professing his love for her, that just opens the gates of hell for her. As usual people start talking because that love is forbidden due to the fact that they are both in a relationship. This is so stressful on her because her boyfriend starts asking a lot of questions and girls start making her life impossible. She is a person who hates stress so she breaks up with her boyfriend and just starts keeping to herself. She successfully sits for her final exams and leaves school.

After school she just really needed a break, she goes out tries to have some fun, drink, just to forget all her problems. A so called Travis Jane emerges from God knows where, opens up a page called gossip gal spena, splashes all the dirty details of peoples past in spena. Everybody thinks it is her, so she gets down to investigating who this Travis Jane is, and she finds out that it is one of her closest friends. This hurts her so much considering what she has been through, she just has to put a stop to it.

People may take her to be a devil but she is herself, she does not pretend to be an angel that she is not. Personally, I would rather deal with the devil I know than a person who pretends to be an angel. In life we meet all sorts of people, some make us, some break us, but in the end they all play a role in our lives. They teach us lessons that leave a mark in our lives and this makes us the people that we are today. To me they are an inspiration.

BELIEVE

Most people always judge people by their outlook and the things they do.They
never try to really get to know the person, that is why they say, "never judge a
book by it's cover." I always feel let down when i get to know people's personal
opinions about me but now I am like, " what the hell" these guyz contribute 0% to
my life and most of them mean nothing to me. I have reached a point in my life where
I do not really care what people think anymore because it really does not matter. Life
does not really matter, I do not belong here, earth is just my temporary home, I am just
on a journey that I have to pass. The easy way of life only leads to hell but the way to
eternal life is long, hard and tedious.

We always complain that life is hard but it's for a reason and maybe for the best. I am so
tired right now, life seems so meaningless because every time I try to do away with my past
life, something just keeps pulling me back but I have to struggle because I want to be a better
person, I do not want my child or anyone that is little to pass through the life that I have been
through. I want them to have a better and meaningful life and I believe you all do. Nobody
wants to be poor that is why most people are isolated, even at school, we are all witnesses
to this.

I believe that the only way to achieve whatever you want in life is to work hard, pray and believe.
Our faith is very strong, it does not matter whether you are a moslem, christian, pagan or a devil
worshiper. Most times whatever we think about comes to pass whether it is negative or positive,
that is why it is important to always have positive thoughts. We always have to believe that we
can achieve anything because most of the important and rich people today had nothing. But they
made something out of that nothing. Do not just sit around and wait for things to happen....
," MAKE IT HAPPEN."
