SOMETIMES LOVE IS NOT ALL THAT MATTERS

We all have those moments when we really annoy our parents and almost make them lose faith in us. Sometimes we may not do it intentionally, unaware of the consequences that will befall our actions. In one way or another, God made us have that special connection with our parents. We may be connected by blood but the events we go through in life with our parents strengthens the bond. However much a relationship with a parent may not be that good, the love still exists.

There are children that have been abandoned by their biological parents but when they grow up and eventually meet their parents, they still have that love. Obviously at first sight you will feel a lot of hatred and range for that parent who abandoned you. As children we drive our parents crazy with all the outrageous things we do. But it is simple, we are all from different generations and each generation has its norms. Most times our parents fail to understand why we do some things and most times the answer is simple “peer pressure”.

Most people succumb to the pressure from peers and easily indulge in whatever activity they are being introduced to. Most of us want to be considered as cool and updated so we easily succumb to pressure from peers. That is the main reason why when our parents criticize us for what we do, we call them “outdated”. But in actual sense they are not “outdated”, they are older than us and have further experience. They see further than we do and fear for the consequences to befall us “their beloved children”.

There comes a moment in life when you have wronged your parents so much that they have completely given up on you. But it is still their obligation to take care of you, sometimes the love may disappear but they have that God given obligation to look after their children. We can not blame our parents for behaving the way they do, sometimes they really do not know what to do with us. They are human beings like us and have feelings. Every parent’s constant worry is the welfare of their children however old you may be. So please do not take your parents love for you for granted because in the end they are all you really have.
